Karolina Bonde - Versatility and Vitality
"We have marked Karolina Bonde as a gifted colorist in previous commentary. This exhibition reveals her skill as the Mistress of cool, clear daylight with her judicious distribution of lights and shadows on the canvas. We are impressed by the elasticity of her lines and the clarity of the designs which seem to move about the canvas effortlessly. Viewing these works by the autodidaactic painter is a magnifcent object lesson in which tender color, an exquisite vision (poetic without being sentimental) depicts a cosmos both animate and inanimate, where sincere sensuous sparkling colors please the eye and refresh the mind. A certain magic lies in pure color for those who know how to use it and Karolina Bonde is such a one. Karolina Bonde is, as well, a harmonist; she sounds oftener the symphonic than the lyric note.
